Romance me

Do you romance yourself?  I do.  When days are cold and dark, sometimes all I can dream of is falling asleep under rose arbors and breathing in the sense of wild flowers.  We are a romantic bunch here.  I buy myself flowers all the time.  Back in the days, I used to send monthly flowers to myself.  I really did!  It sounds silly but there is nothing like getting flowers from yourself....I mean who knows you better than you?

Because lets face it, is there any thing better than being surrounded by roses?

To be able to wake up in the morning and the first thing you see is flowers peeking out around the pillow.

It simply wouldn't be a feminine bed room without stately mirrors.

Somehow getting ready is so much more fun when there is no one rushing you around.

Valentine day isn't just for lovers or just for the month of February.  It simply is a way of life.

Love,
Victoria

  1. Your bedroom looks stunning Victoria! So clean and simple but yet elegant at the same time. Your headboard never ceases to amaze me, you did such a fantastic job with it. Love all your mirrors too. I don't keep fresh flowers around as often as I would like...if I had a flower garden I definitely would but they're always so expensive in the grocery store and never very good quality. I did discover the day old Rose section in the back tho and can get 1/2 dozen for $3.99 so that's usually where I get some:)

So glad to see you on IG now!

  3. What a beautiful, beautiful room, Victoria. I think anyone would feel like a princess if they got to wake up in this room. And fresh flowers are such a wonderful way to treat ourselves. I don't do it very often because I feel like I don't have good places In my home to set vases of flowers. But seeing this has inspired me to change my thinking and stop making excuses. Life is too short not to enjoy the lovely things :)

  4. Gorgeous Victoria-I buy myself weekly flowers from a local shop because I love them. My hubby would do it, but I like to do it for myself ==just for me!

  5. VIctoria,
Your bedroom is so gorgeous. I treat myself to flowers quite often in the winter months when I cannot go out and enjoy them in the garden. We should embrace each day and enjoy the little things like flowers for ourselves. Your girls are just precious and the pics are too sweet. They look like sweet fairy angels.

  7. The Rose garland branches freely crowning the top of your bed is heavenly beauty. I could wake to that view above. Romantic Living is everywhere in your home.

Your darling daughter is snow white with a crown of roses in the mirror.

I can imagine rose petals raining down inside your castle.

    1. Thank you, Kerrie. All the estrogen in our house hold is producing way too many hopeless romantics here. : )

  9. Victoria,
Your bedtoom looks like a precious haven to dream and create in. I love having flowers on my nightstand and lighting a candle to release their sweet alluring scent at night. Romance yourself, that makes me smile. I too agree about purchasing flowers and enjoying them as often as possible for truly they are a gift of beauty. Your mirrors are gorgeous and your bedroom enchanting but your sweet daughters are the prettiest little beauties ...

    1. Hi Jane! I love big bouquets. I remember seeing them in Rachel Ashwell's books and fell in love with how they look. There is something very prairie about them, no?

    1. Thank you, Dore. I can't wait for the summer to pick flowers from the garden. No one in my neighborhood has flower gardens. It is all winter green. Very strange.
